Jan Rothmayer
The television technician and photographer Jan Rothmayer (2.2.1932 Prague-Břevnov - 25.2.2010 Prague-Břevnov), the son of architect Otto and visible as a child in many historic photographs, became the guardian of the legacy of both his parents after his mother's death, and his success in preserving the authentic settings of the house and garden is truly admirable. In his youth, he worked as an assistant and later pupil of the photographer Josef Sudek, becoming a significant photographer in his own right and developing his original photographic style. His black-and-white images show the changes in the "magical garden" and the house interiors, and have served as a major source in the reconstruction process.
