The Nativity Scenes by Jan Knap

As per our custom at the Clam-Gallas Palace, once every few months we add a bonus to the exhibition tour. This time, you may encounter examples of the Christmas-themed work by the contemporary Czech painter Jan Knap. We are exhibiting two original nativity scenes and a number of the painter's drawings and sketches that preceded the nativity scenes. In addition, you will be able to see two large-format paintings by Knap with the motif of the Holy Family.

On your way to the palace, be sure to look around the courtyard. Last year, one of the exhibited nativity scenes was replicated in slightly under life-size, and it is on display there until the Three Kings Day.
